Update description
QuickBooks 2009-10 DB Server Manager Update fixes an issue with the version of the Database Server Manager, which consequently prevented company files being accessed in certain multi-user environments. If you are getting error message H101, H202, H303 and/or H505 while switching (or if you are already in) multi-user, then this update is for you.

Installing QuickBooks 2009-10 DB Server Manager Update
IMPORTANT!
This patch ONLY needs to be installed on your File Server or in the location where QuickBooks 2009/10 R1 Database Manager is installed.
If you have both QuickBooks 2009/10 R1 and the QuickBooks Database Manager installed on the File Server (or are running QuickBooks in a terminal Server Environment), this patch isn't required and shouldn't be installed.
Also the QuickBooks 2009-10 DB Server Manager Update must be installed before you install QuickBooks 2009-10 Service Pack 1.
- Ensure that QuickBooks DB Server manager and QuickBooks 2009-10 are not running on your File Server.
- Download the 'QuickBooks 2009-10 DB Server Manager Update.exe' file and save it to a location on your hard drive (For example, C:\[temp] or the Desktop).
- Use Windows Explorer to locate 'QuickBooks 2009-10 DB Server Manager Update.exe', the file you just saved, and double-click it to run the setup program.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install QuickBooks 2009-10 DB Server Manager Update.exe. After installing the update successfully, you can delete the 'QuickBooks 2009-10 DB Server Manager Update.exe' file. Alternatively, save it to a safe location in case you need to re-install QuickBooks and this update at a later date.
- The QuickBooks Update Utility will commence. When it has reached 100%, QuickBooks displays a message that 'You have successfully installed this patch.'. Click OK.
Note: You may encounter error code (-6000,-83) or (-6177,0) when trying to open your data file over the network after installing this update patch. Please refer to KB article Q12400 to rectify the permission issue.
